What is the easy way to re-sale cars from the auction without a dealer's license?
My friend has a dealer which I can use his license to go and bid some cars at the auction. I want to fix and sell later to make some money. But I can't have more than 3 cars in my name in 1 year period. And to have a dealer's license is really expensive and I don't have any location. I was looking for rebuilder, wholesaler, junk, or scrap license are generally allowed to bid everywhere. But I couldn't find any solid information. Does anybody knows how to do it? I live in Miami, FL.

- just buy and sell just those 3 cars. and if business is good for you youll have money for your own license.
- If you are planning to sell more than three cars a year, it might be easiest and actually most beneficial for you to get the license depending on how much it costs. A license will come with other perks, like you can get dealer tags for people to test drive the cars, and you can legally buy and sell the cars without having to register them in your name. I know of a ring of people that were collecting 'junk' cars from people, with signed titles, then selling the cars good enough to keep running to private buyers without ever putting info into the title or visiting the DMV. As far as paperwork was concerned, they never had posession of the car. They got caught for it and at least one is serving time for tax evasion. So I'd seriously just check into what a license costs. If it's reasonable, go sell your first three cars, then take that money and get a license like the other person suggested.
- What makes you think you can't have more than 3 cars in my name in 1 year period ? (Other than an unenforceable law ?) You don't really think an inefficient government bureaucracy will know this do you ? And what, pray tell would happen if you had 4 and they somehow caught you ? The DEATH penalty ? LOL
