We filed chapter13, car dealer never submitted a claim do they have to release the titles?
We filed chapter13 and our cars was apart of the file. The car dealer never submitted a claim and now all of the chapter 13 is paid and been discharged. We have a letter from the court stating no one on this file can collect anything eles. Does that mean the car dealer has to give us the titles since they cant collect any more money?

- Well, it depends. If they received notice of the bankruptcy, and were scheduled in the payments, then they may be required to issue you a clear title. However, it they did not know of the bankruptcy, and you kept paying them outside the bankruptcy, or you reaffirmed the debt (which is quite likely), then you have to continue to pay until the loan is paid off. You'll have to check the court file, or talk to your attorney to find these things out. ** Note: This is a general discussion of the subject matter of your question and not legal advice.
