Transferring car titles, and refinancing car loans, State of Texas?

Okay. I have been paying on this car since I got in in May. It is in my dad's name, because I could not get one in my name. I had just gotten out of a bad marriage, and had not worked in 6 years. How hard would it be to refinance this car loan, and transer it in my name this summer? How can one do that?

1. To refinance a loan you have to apply at a bank or finace co. for a loan. If you have not worked in six years you may not have a credit history so it may be hard to get a loan.
2. if you needed your dad as a cosigner you may not be able to.after a yaer or six months on the job you may be able to. check with where it is financed through now and ask them their policy on the matter. you could always get it through another bank but they would have to buyout the loan from the first one. ask your plcae first they may work with you now.
