How do I get a new car title if I lost my old one?

I lost my title certificate and I moved to Illinois from Michigan. Do I have to go back to Michigan to get my car title? Can I have my title mailed to me?

1. Your nearest DMV will have it, provided you lighten your wallet a little
2. Go to the DMV tell them you lost it, you need proof og insurance , and photo id

4. DMV, it will help if you have the cars registration, plus fee, I don't know where you live, but prices vary from state, to state. hope this helps
